Jaber Al Ameeri

Partner, Head of Customs & Criminal

Jaber is an Emirati lawyer specialising in litigation and licensed to plead before all courts in the United Arab Emirates. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Economics and has over 20 years of experience in customs and regulatory matters.

He began his career with local and federal customs authorities in senior roles overseeing ports control and auditing, where he gained extensive experience in regulatory enforcement and compliance. He later moved into private practice, advising on civil, commercial, construction, customs, labour, and criminal disputes.

As Head of Customs and Criminal, Jaber leads complex matters, including the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in the United Arab Emirates, and oversees the firm’s criminal practice. He also serves as an external mediator for employment disputes involving entities registered with Dubai South.

Jaber is recognised for his clear analysis, precise drafting, and strong command of UAE court procedures. He is a member of the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal, a native Arabic speaker, and fluent in English.
