Jaber Al Ameeri

Partner, Head of Criminal and Customs

Jaber is an Emirati lawyer specialising in litigation and licensed to plead before all UAE courts. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Economics and brings over 20 years of professional experience in customs, with strong expertise in regulatory enforcement, compliance, and legal procedures.

He began his career with Dubai Customs and the Federal Customs Authority, serving as Customs Ports Control and Auditing Section Manager, where he developed deep expertise in regulatory enforcement, compliance, and customs operations. He subsequently practised as an advocate, gaining substantial experience in civil, commercial, and construction disputes, further enhancing the depth of his litigation practice.

As Head of Customs and Criminal, Jaber advises on a wide range of complex customs, labour, civil, and commercial disputes, including the enforcement of foreign judgments and awards in the UAE. He also leads the firm’s Criminal Team, overseeing matters that require a thorough command of UAE court procedures and strategic case management.

Beyond litigation, Jaber serves as an external mediator for employment disputes involving corporate entities registered with Dubai South. In this role, he provides mediation services and supports Dubai South’s employment dispute resolution framework, helping achieve practical and effective outcomes.

Jaber is widely recognised for his strategic insight, precise drafting, and ability to distil complex legal issues into clear, persuasive submissions. His analytical approach enables him to provide practical, results-oriented advice highly valued by clients and colleagues alike.

He is a member of the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal, a native Arabic speaker, and fluent in English.
