Chris Gibson

Chris is a Solicitor of England and Wales and forms part of ADG’s International Dispute Resolution and Construction departments. He has been in Dubai since 2023.
Chris completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Sunderland and was awarded First Class Honours. In the process, he was also awarded the Ede & Ravenscroft Prize in recognition of being the highest-performing undergraduate student in Law. He returned to the University of Sunderland to undertake a combined postgraduate degree in Legal Practice and a Masters of Law, achieving a Distinction.
In Dispute Resolution, Chris has acted for high-net-worth individuals and high-profile families. He has worked on a variety of matters – ranging from shareholder disputes, trust disputes, phishing scams (‘push payment fraud’), owed money claims; major fraud investigations; and multi million and billion dollar litigation.
Of particular note, Chris was recognised in the 2024 Legal500 Country Comparative Guide for his analysis of how White-Collar Crimes are enforced in the UAE and the recent trends in investigations and prosecutions in the country.
In the firm’s Construction practice, he has acted on sub-contractor disputes on landmark UAE infrastructure projects, contractor client disputes on KSA tourist projects; and consultant disputes on large residential villa developments. Further, he has also delivered seminars on a range of Construction topics to industry peers.
