Senior Associate

Brendon is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution practice at ADG Legal in Dubai. A foreign-qualified barrister with over eight years of experience in international litigation and arbitration, he acts on complex, high-value disputes with cross-border elements.

He regularly represents clients in commercial litigation, insolvency proceedings and contractual disputes, and appears before the Dubai International Financial Centre and Abu Dhabi Global Market Courts, superior courts and international tribunals. He is highly regarded for persuasive advocacy and strategic drafting in high-stakes matters, where the framing of a case at the outset can shape its later course.

His construction practice covers disputes arising under JBCC, FIDIC and NEC forms of contract, including issues concerning time, payment and claims. He advises clients from the early stages of a matter, including the assessment of claims and the development of strategy for resolving them.

Brendon also acts in sports law matters, including representation before the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber and the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Combined with his litigation and arbitration practice, this gives him experience across forums with distinct procedural rules and timetables, including disputes spanning more than one jurisdiction. A native English speaker, he holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Western Cape and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Rescue from the University of South Africa.
