Bradley Marais

Bradley is Counsel in the Dispute Resolution practice at ADG Legal in Dubai, advising on international and cross-border disputes, with particular experience in commercial litigation and domestic and international arbitration for clients across several industries.
A barrister with more than thirteen years of post-qualification experience, he has appeared as both lead and junior counsel in the courts of South Africa and holds rights of appearance in all of them, including the Supreme Court of Appeal and the Constitutional Court. His contentious practice covers contractual disputes, insolvency, fraud claims, delictual claims, and administrative and regulatory proceedings.
He has acted for clients in the energy, telecommunications, banking, mining and technology sectors, and has been instructed by leading law firms and multinational businesses on complex and high-value matters. He has acted as party representative in arbitrations and has also been appointed as arbitrator. Bradley is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London and the Legal Practice Council of South Africa.
His approach centres on resolving disputes efficiently and effectively, pairing advocacy with commercially grounded advice. He works closely with clients on case strategy, risk assessment and the management of proceedings across jurisdictions, so that decisions on how far to press a claim are taken with the commercial position in view.
