Empowering women through #GiveToGain

On International Women’s Day, ADG Legal reflects on the meaning of this year’s theme, #GiveToGain. In the legal profession, progress is rarely accidental. It develops when senior lawyers create space at the table, when opportunities are shared, and when emerging talent is recognised and developed with intention.

At ADG Legal, this principle informs how the firm develops its people. Guided by Managing Partner and Founder Mohammed Al Dahbashi, the firm promotes a professional environment built on merit, collaboration, and accountability. Female lawyers are given consistent access to complex matters, leadership exposure, and structured mentorship that support the development of technical expertise and professional judgement.

This approach is reflected in the promotion of Ashton Cooke as the firm’s first female Partner, where she leads the Restructuring and Insolvency practice while mentoring junior lawyers across the firm.

Advancing women in law is not a one-day conversation. It requires sustained commitment to standards, fairness, and leadership. Through mentorship, professional development, and a focus on wellbeing, ADG Legal continues to invest in the long-term success of its people.
