Cross-Border M&A in Focus: Insights from ADG Legal at Renmin University Law School

These themes formed the focus of a recent Cross-Border M&A Session hosted by Renmin University Law School in collaboration with Chance Bridge Law Firm on 8 June 2026 in Beijing, China.
Representing ADG Legal, Peter Davies, Partner, joined remotely from Dubai to discuss key considerations in cross-border mergers and acquisitions involving the UK and UAE markets. Drawing on his experience advising clients on international transactions, Peter shared practical perspectives on deal structuring, regulatory considerations, and the importance of aligning legal strategy with commercial objectives.
Marwa Al Mashgouni, Associate, joined the session from China and provided an overview of the UAE legal and court system, highlighting important considerations for international businesses looking to establish, invest, or expand their operations in the region. Her presentation explored the legal framework that underpins the UAE’s position as a leading destination for foreign investment and cross-border commerce.
