ADG Legal at the AIJA 2026 Annual Congress in Vienna
31 August 2026
ADG Legal was represented at the AIJA 64th International Young Lawyers’ Congress, held in Vienna, Austria, from 24 to 29 August 2026 under the theme Lawyers in Concert: Connecting, Creating, and Committing to Service.
Partner Francesco Bulleri, Corporate and Commercial, and Partner Ahmed Alkotby, Head of Litigation and Managing Partner of the Firm’s Egypt practice, attended the congress, joining lawyers and in-house counsel from across the international legal community for a programme focused on issues shaping cross-border legal practice.
The congress addressed a range of topics relevant to ADG Legal’s international practice, including corporate governance and director liability, insolvency and integrated capital markets, cross-border supply chain disputes, international fraud and digital identities, and the impact of artificial intelligence on legal service delivery.
New AIJA roles for Francesco Bulleri and Ahmed Alkotby
The congress also marked an important step in ADG Legal’s engagement with AIJA, with Francesco Bulleri appointed as MENA Regional Coordinator and Ahmed Alkotby appointed as UAE National Representative.
In these roles, Francesco and Ahmed will contribute to AIJA’s regional and national activities and support stronger connections between lawyers across the MENA region and the wider international legal community.
Their appointments reflect ADG Legal’s continued commitment to international professional networks and to building relationships that support collaboration and knowledge exchange across jurisdictions.
Strengthening international connections
Participation in the AIJA Annual Congress provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives with colleagues from different jurisdictions, discuss developments affecting international transactions and disputes, and strengthen relationships across the global legal community.
For ADG Legal, these connections are particularly relevant as the Firm continues to advise on increasingly complex matters involving multiple jurisdictions, international parties and cross-border assets, financing structures and proceedings.
ADG Legal congratulates Francesco and Ahmed on their new AIJA appointments and looks forward to their continued contribution to the Association’s work across the region.
