ADG Legal at the AIJA 2026 Annual Congress in Vienna

ADG Legal will take part in the AIJA 64th International Young Lawyers’ Congress in Vienna, Austria, from 24 to 29 August 2026. Organised by the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), the congress brings together around 1,000 lawyers and in-house counsel from around the world under the theme Lawyers in Concert: Connecting, Creating, and Committing to Service.
Partner Francesco Bulleri and Partner Ahmed Alkotby will represent the Firm.
Francesco Bulleri – Corporate and Commercial
Francesco Bulleri is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial practice in Dubai. He advises on corporate, commercial and contract law, together with related real estate matters, acting on domestic and international transactions across the EU, the UK, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. He is also Adjunct Faculty at LUISS Business School, teaching at its Dubai Hub.
Francesco has a particular interest in the sessions on corporate governance, director liability and cross-border transactions, as well as the Corporate and M&A Commission meeting.
Ahmed Alkotby – Litigation and Managing Partner, Egypt
Ahmed Alkotby is a Partner, Head of Litigation and Managing Partner of the Firm’s Egypt practice. Dually admitted to the Egyptian Bar Association and as a Practitioner Part II of the DIFC Courts, his practice spans high-value multi-jurisdictional disputes, international arbitration, corporate restructurings, governance frameworks and Sharia-compliant finance for clients in the banking, insurance, construction, hospitality, and oil and gas sectors.
Ahmed recently spoke on the international insolvency panel at AIJA Helsinki 2026. In Vienna, he is particularly interested in the insolvency and international arbitration programme, including The Insolvency Beat: Setting the Tempo in Integrated Capital Markets and the workshop on cross-border supply chain disputes.
A programme aligned with cross-border practice
The programme addresses issues central to the Firm’s practice. The Tone at the Top examines governance failures, compliance and director liability through a live boardroom simulation. The Insolvency Beat explores insolvency risk in integrated capital markets. Phantom Carriers, Digital Identities and Platform Risk considers fraud in international trade and the digital economy. Other sessions examine procedural strategy in cross-border supply chain disputes and the impact of artificial intelligence on legal service delivery.
As transactions and disputes increasingly span multiple jurisdictions, events such as the AIJA Annual Congress provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen international relationships and remain close to developments shaping cross-border legal practice.
